JONES, CHRISTINE J Jones, Christine J age 88 passed away Tuesday June 1, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Archie H. Jones and son David Jones. She is survived by sons Johnny "Mary Louise" Jones and Lee "Connie" Jones. She is also survived by her brother Gene Jones, sisters Kathleen Durden, Marie Cather, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Jones was born in Fayette County, the ninth of ten children born to Luther and Nancy Jones. She moved to Birmingham in 1941 to study commercial art where she met and married the love of her life Archie Jones. She was president of Eastside Mental Health. She was very active at the Springville United Methodist Church. A member of The Club, where she spent each Tuesday playing bridge with her closest friends. Funeral service will be Friday June 4, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Springville United Methodist Church with interment to follow in Springville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. at Ridout's Trussville Chapel.
