Cheryl Denise Johnson

Our dear Cheryl Johnson was born in Fairfield, Alabama on September 9,1961 and passed away peacefully on August 30,2024, after a heroic battle with cancer. Growing up in Columbiana, Alabama with her mom and Pop, “The Farm “ was always Cheryl’s happy place. She loved the farm and the many wonderful lasting memories that it gave her, with large family gatherings and friendships made over a lifetime. Cheryl also loved her beloved pugs, and other animals that she had throughout her life. Cheryl developed many lifelong friendships and always showed compassion and love to not only her family members but the many friends she had throughout her lifetime and always made everyone feel special.

She is preceded in death by her beloved Mom, Beatrice Johnson and her very special Pop, Jack Johnson and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She leaves behind several cousins and their families along with a countless number of wonderful friends, several who were with her throughout her passing. She was a beloved daughter, cousin and best friend to many she leaves behind. She will be missed by all that knew her and remembered for her beautiful laughter, smiles and kindness. She is now pain free and rejoicing with her beloved Mom and Pop and our Precious Lord and Savior in Heaven.

A Graveside service will take place on Thursday, September 5, 2024 in Elmwood Cemetery at 11:00 AM 600 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Birmingham, Alabama 35211.
