Charles Edward Woodrow, III
Age 77 of Falls Church, Virginia, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016, in Cayo Largo, Cuba. He was a member of Cherrydale United Methodist of Arlington, the adult Sunday school class, the men’s prayer group, and served on the pastor-parish relations committee. Mr. Woodrow graduated from Auburn University in 1962 with a BEE. He attained his master’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Alabama in 1964. He served in the U.S. Army at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico attaining the rank of captain. Mr. Woodrow joined Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio, and served as a controls and process engineer in many locations in the world for 35 years until his retirement in 1999. He made his home in Chelsea, Alabama until moving in 2013 to Falls Church, VA. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Boling Woodrow; son Kenneth David Woodrow, and his wife Jean Woodrow, granddaughters: Charlotte Elise Woodrow and Morgan Camille Woodrow of Arlington, VA. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary McBryde Woodrow Bullock and her husband Roger Bullock. His Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
