Charles Russell Tidwell

Charles Russell Tidwell, 67, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021. He was born on January 7, 1954 in Birmingham, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents Hezzie and Ruby Tidwell and two brothers Robert and David Tidwell. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Debra (Smith) Tidwell of Double Springs, Alabama; daughter Kimberly (Travis) Johnson of Midland, TX; daughter Sherian (Justin) Trask of Fort Myers, FL; son Robert Tidwell of Birmingham, AL; brother Kenneth Tidwell of Jemison, AL; sister Sherian Tatro of Macon, GA; grandson Skylear (Desi) Johnson of San Antonio, TX; grandson Fathi Johnson of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren Jacob, Kayde and Savannah Trask of Fort Myers, FL; three great grandsons, Leo, Max and Levi; numerous nieces and nephews. Rusty and Debbie were married in Birmingham in 1972. They lived in Fort Myers, FL for 16 years before making their final home in Double Springs, AL.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 9:45am-10:45am in the Maple Room at Johns Ridout's Elmwood Chapel located at 800 Dennison Ave. SW Birmingham, AL. 35211 with a Celebration of Life Graveside Service to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery at 11:00am. Rev Jim Auchmuty will be officiating. John Rideout's Elmwood Chapel directing.
