Charles R. "Ray" Perry, Jr., 65, was born March 02, 1959, and died on Thursday, May 16, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Blackwell Perry, parents, Charles R. "Jack" and Joy Ann Perry, and sister, Pamela Foreman. He is survived by his children, C.C. and Paige Perry. Ray, a lifetime resident of Adamsville, loved his family and is best known for his compassion and generosity. He was an avid outdoorsman, gardener, and Alabama Crimson Tide fan. A man's greatest legacy is seen in the home he leads. Ray and Jane created a tight knit family where love, dedication, and devotion were modeled in spite of any hardships and trials faced. He raised two faithful Christians to whom he left a myriad of precious memories. Humble displays of God's grace were consistently shown for his children to emulate.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2024, with a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. at Palisades Church of Christ, 625 Palisades Boulevard Birmingham, Alabama 35209.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to his favorite philanthropies: Camp ASCCA, Make-A-Wish Alabama, or Rainbow Omega.
