Cecil S Reid

.REID, CECIL S Reid, Cecil S age 82 went home to be with the Lord Saturday October 30, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents Dennis and Susie Cato Reid. He was also preceded in death by sisters Ola Mae Crowser and Irene Neeley. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Alma B. Reid, daughters Dianne (Charles) Roddam, Cynthia (Ray) Sitz of DeRidder, LA sons Cecil Alan (Brenda) Reid and Charles Dana (Becky) Reid of Snellville, GA. he had eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Cecil served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was retired from The Birmingham Fire Department as a lieutenant after 29 years of service. He was also retired from Alabama Power after 11 years of service. He was a member of Brookview Wesleyan Church. Funeral service will be Tuesday November 2, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Ridout's Trusssville Chapel with Pastor Patrick Branch officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening November 1, 2010 from 5 until 7 P.M. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
