Carla Kirkpatrick Gray, age 80 of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, William “Bill” Gray, her parents, John and Helen Kirkpatrick, and her son-in-law, Adam Schepker.
She graduated from Ramsey High School, University of Alabama, and Samford University. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority.
Mrs. Gray is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Gray Schepker and Nancy Gray West (Jay); five grandchildren, Summer Schepker, Brooke Schepker, Gray West, Dylan West, and Ava West all of Birmingham. She was lovingly known as “Mimi” to her grandchildren. Mrs. Gray leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. Because of the Covid-19 Pandemic it will be restricted to family only. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN. Mrs. Gray’s nephew, Bishop Mike Gray will officiate services.
