An avid and talented gardener, Brenda loved her flower gardens and could always be counted on to have a bouquet of fresh cut flowers in hand whenever she visited someone. She also had a love of music, especially live music, and would make it to as many performances as possible. She loved people and never met a stranger. She enjoyed talking to people and learning about their lives. She loved the Lord and took great pleasure in attending worship service and Sunday school. Of all the loves she had, her family was her first love, in particular her grandchildren. They were the light of her life and she was exceedingly proud of them. Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, she graduated from Midfield High School. She worked for many years in the hospitality industry where she made countless new friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who knew her as an outgoing, fun-loving, hardworking and kindhearted person who always carried a smile on her face and a genuine love in heart.
A visitation will be Friday, January 5, 2024 at Elmwood Chapel at 10 am with a celebration of Brenda’s life to follow at 11 am.
