On September 16, 2020, Billy Ray Stone at the age of 84 went home to be with his Heavenly Father. He was a loving husband, daddy, step-father, pawpaw, brother and friend. He loved Jesus and his family more than anything. He retired from Jefferson County Inspection Services. He was a 50 year member of the Georgianna Davis Masonic Lodge. He served in the United States Navy. He liked singing and playing the guitar, mandolin, and french harp. He is preceded in death by his wife, Everlene Rowe Stone; parents, Mary and Earl Stone; and brothers, Hoyt and Gene Stone. He leaves behind his wife, Jeanette Stone; children, Marlene, Sandi, Mary Ray, Diana, Gary, Jerry, Jeanie and Anita. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Brothers Roddie and Doug Stone along with many nieces and nephews. He will be truly missed by all of those that knew him. His family will have a graveside service on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at Sulphur Springs Cemetery beginning at 11 AM.
