Bettye J Smith

Oldest of 7 children of Richard and Lizzie Teoma Hallman Madison, she is preceded in death by her parents, two sons- William Jeffery and Gregory Scott Smith, brothers - Buddy, Jimmy, Billy Joe, Griffin and Buster.

She is survived by her adoring husband of 65 years, James Thurman "Bud" Smith, Jr., daughter - Brenda (Anthony) Davis, granddaughters - Kristi Sullivan, Kimberli (John) Posey, Karmin Jones, grandchildren - Kaili and Kindalyn, Maggie Quinn and Darby, Kaden and Willow, sister - Carrie Louise Glass and many nieces and nephews.

The family will celebrate her life with a visitation on Saturday, October 7th at Ridout's Trussville Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery at 11:30 a.m.
