Betty S. Moss

Betty S. Moss, age 87, of Fultondale, Alabama passed away on Thursday November 14, 2019. Betty was born December 8, 1931 in Fairfield, AL to Jim and Helen Smith. She graduated from Fairfield High School and later attended University of Alabama Birmingham and received a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. On November 1, 1952 Betty married Cameron G. Moss. She was the past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 3407 and a member of Tops Gardendale, AL, and was also a member of MENSA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Helen Smith and her husband, Cameron Moss. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, James Michael Moss, David Patrick Moss, Catherine Moss Goggins (Tim) and Nancy Moss Weaks (Robert); grandchildren, Catherine Angela Hayes (Leo), Jamie Melissa Cherry (Jason) and Brian Keith Moss; great grandson's, Cameron G. Hale, Justin Ryan Dill and Corey Michael Moss and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 17, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Johns-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211 with a graveside service and burial following at 2:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery 600 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. SW, Birmingham, AL 35211.
