Betty N Mcalister

MCALISTER, BETTY, age 80, of Birmingham, went home to be with her Lord Sunday, January 8, 2012. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Swiney; father, W.O. Hicks; and brother, Glendon Hicks. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Walton (Joe) and Patricia Harris; sons, Jack McAlister (Sharon) and Bobby McAlister (Anne); brother, Bobby Hicks; sister-in-law, Sarah Hicks; grandchildren, Micki Warren, Joshua McAlister, Jessica Smith, Patrick McGriff, Cary McGriff and Shelby McAlister; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. Betty was a longtime member of Rosehill Baptist Church and retired from Motion Industries. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel from 10-11 with the service beginning at 11. Burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery.
