HILL, BARBARA ANN 80, from Birmingham, passed away on July 20, 2011 in Huntsville, surrounded by family and dear friends. With the exception of the last two years of her life, she was a lifelong resident of Birmingham. She graduated from West End High School and worked at Southern Bell for over forty years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and enjoyed her monthly luncheons with her friends who retired from the telephone company. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ethel Hill and her brother, Robert Hill Jr. She is survived by her nephews and nieces and close friends that were considered family. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 23rd at 1pm at Elmwood Chapel with visitation beginning one hour prior. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Blessed Sacrament Church in Birmingham.
