Anne D. Turner, 98, passed away March 1, 2020. She was born December 14, 1921. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Ethel Denton; her husband, Lloyd L. Turner, Sr.; brothers, E.P. Denton and John D. Denton, Jr.; and great-grandsons, Foster Reed Turner and Jason Aaron Turner; and her sister in law, Patricia Denton. She is survived by her sons, Lloyd L. Turner(Gail), Jr. and Larry David Turner(Martha); grandchildren, Michael David Turner (Faye), Jeffrey Lloyd Turner, Jason Allen Turner, Stacey Turner Allred (Lee), Thomas Peters; great grandchildren, Zachary Turner (Brittany), Olivia Turner, Jacob Turner, Karis Turner, Sydney Allred, Mackenzie Allred; and brother, Harvey M. Denton; niece, Ellen Denton and nephew, David Denton; and a host of other friends and family.
Anne graduated from Jones Valley High School in 1940. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was an excellent seamstress and crafter. She worked as a secretary until she retired. She taught Sunday School at Shades Mountain Baptist and was a long time member there. She also taught Sunday School at First Baptist Church of Springville. She loved the Lord with all her heart and studied her Bible often.
Anne's family will receive friends on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 1pm. With a Celebration of Life service to follow
at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Anne's memory to the Prayer Ministry of Pineville United Methodist Church, 110 S Polk St, Pineville, NC 28134.
