It is with heartfelt sorrow that I extend my condolences to the Sokol family in honor of the kindness that Alex expressed to the Pratt City Library during the storm of 2011,  He had a winning smile and a kind heart.

Both Lincoln and I are so sorry to hear about your loss.  A child, no matter how old, is a treasure that cannot be replaced.  May you find joy in his memory and pride in his good deeds.  I remember the little boy.  Now I am reading about this great man.

Dear Bobby, Bruce, Jennifer, Adam and Ben: How blessed Alex was to have had such wonderful parents and siblings. There is an old saying "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree..." His goodness reflects his roots. Illness prevented us from being among you and your many friends ... and Adam's many friends this past Monday. But you may be assured our thoughts and prayers were with each of you then ... as well as today. We cannot begin to fathom the extent of your sadness but we will pray that G-d's healing comfort will help you through this difficult time. As his Mom and Dad and as his sister and brothers, each of you should be proud of his life and his legacy.

Just had the privilege of meeting Alex just last week, what a great person who did great things for others. My prayers are going out for his family!

Man, Alex had a beautiful big heart and spirit, and though his life was short, he lived it to the fullest. Always had a smile on his face and consoled me when my dad died suddenly a few months ago. He was a selfless gentleman and will be greatly missed by the whole city of Birmingham and beyond.
