Agnes "Polly" Vaughan

Agnes “Polly” Vaughan, age 78, of Calera, Alabama passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021. Agnes was born March 22, 1943. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Watts Vaughan, Sr.; parents, Edward and Miriam King; Sister, Patricia “Pat” Beard and nephew, James “Bud” Beard.

She is survived by her son, Edward W. Vaughan, Jr.; grandchildren, Krista, Katherine and Keith Vaughan; great grandsons, Jesse Smith and Kyle and Zane Vaughan; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Polly was a lifelong member of Independent Pentecostal Holiness Church of Jefferson Park. She worked as a Registrar for Calera Middle High School for many years. She was a member of Alabama Mineral & Lapidary Society, Shelby Strummers and Southern Appalachian Dulcimer Association.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 11 AM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM with burial at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Trussville, Al.
