Robert W. Page Sr.

Robert W. Page Sr., 92, of Johnson City formerly of Conklin passed away on June 22, 2021 at the NYS Veterans Home at Oxford. He was predeceased by his parents, Carlton & Thelma (Decker) Page, his wife, Beulah and several siblings. Bob is survived by his children, Dorothy & David Jones, Robert Page Jr., Evelyn Crawford, Carolyn & Carl Beebe, Duane & Larry (Gumaer) Page, Rodger & Kelly Page, Sandra Walker, Tim & George (Brown) Page, step son, Leon & Esma Wheeler, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers & sisters, William & Linda Page, Marci Ferguson, Eugene Page, Cora & Larry Butts, Jerry & Irene Page, Sue & Edward Cowling, and Carl Page, also many nieces & nephews. Bob served his country proudly not only in WW II but also in Korea and Viet Nam, making a career of the military in Army and the Air Force and then the Army again. He was the past Commander of the VFW Post 478 in Binghamton, and the past NYS All State Commander for the VFW from 1980 through 1982. He was also instrumental in the organization for the building of the Veterans Memorial in Conklin by raising money selling raffle tickets. Bob retired as Superintendent after years of service with the Floral Park Cemetery. One of Bob’s favorite pastimes was never driving by a Casino. He will be dearly missed by many. A Funeral Service will be held at the Conklin Presbyterian Church, 1175 Conklin Rd., Conklin, NY 13748 on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 11:00 am with burial to follow at the Corbettsville Cemetery with full military honors will be held. The family will receive friends at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, NY 13901 on Sunday June 27, 2021 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.
