Patrick F. McGlynn

Patrick F. McGlynn, Jr. died Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at age 91. He was predeceased by his wives, Loretta McGlynn and Constance McGlynn; sons, Ray Watson and George McGlynn; his mother, Anna Phelps; step-father, George Phelps; father, Patrick McGlynn; sisters, Joan Landry and Sharon McGlynn; and brothers, Robert McGlynn, James McGlynn and John McGlynn. He is survived by his sons, Duane (Tammy) Shaffer, Henry (Michelle) Watson, Michael (Sharon) Martin, Michael (Karin) McGlynn; daughters, Patti (Don) Praefke, Debbie (Joe) Fedourich, Debbie (Ed) Norton, Lorrie Watson, and Tammie (Stephen) Cady; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Mary Sullivan and Kathleen McGlynn; and special friend, Joyce Houghtaling.

Patrick proudly served with the United States Air Force and then later the Army Reserves. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, American Legion, and Sanitaria Springs Fire Department. He enjoyed to travel and take pictures, golf, and took pleasure in a good polka. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 1-3pm and 5-7pm at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2022, 10:00am at St. Joseph’s Church Sanitaria Springs. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the New York State Veterans' Home at Oxford.
