Jean Marie Hasby Julian, 92, of Chenango Bridge, NY peacefully passed away at Wilson Memorial Hospital on January 16, 2021 after a brief struggle with dementia. She was born and raised in Dansville, NY. She graduated from Dansville High School in 1946 and voted to most likely be the first woman president. In 1948 she married Horace Julian and moved to Hornell, NY . She moved with the family in 1963 to Chenango Bridge, NY. She is predeceased by her mother Genevieve Huber Hasby and Horace Julian her beloved husband of 70 years in 2018 and brother Jarl Hasby in 2018. She is survived by her two sons James Julian (Diane) of Endicott and Joseph Julian (Jill) of Binghamton as well as her grandchildren Lauri Diamantakos (Pete) of Endwell, Gina Maduskuie (Brian) of Hockessin, DE, Jenna Julian (Terence Stricks) of Hastings-on-Hudson, NY and Mia Julian and her husband Jake Ohanesian of Framingham MA and her great grandchildren Demetri, Lukas, Stella Diamantakos, Julian, Natalie Maduskuie and Santino Stricks Jean is also survived by her sister-in-law, Ann Hasby of Old Forge, NY and brother-in-law James Julian (Lucy) of Tonawanda, NY and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Hillcrest where she volunteered in the food pantry. She will be remembered by her family and all that knew her for her sweetness and gentle spirit. She made her home special with her love, wonderful cooking and gardening. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Keepsake Village at The Hearth at Castle Gardens during her brief stay. Due to COVID 19 restrictions a private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
