Bernadine N. Burke

Burke, Bernadine Natalie, age 83, formerly of Binghamton, died on October 26th, 2014, in Greenville, SC., after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Alverta Rohe, her husband John Burke, and her brother Thomas Waluk.

Bernadine is survived by her daughter, Anne Burke (Charles Lesko), two sons John (Diane), and Joseph (Faith). Grandchildren, Nicole (Burke) Hime, Emily and Joseph Burke, and Scott (Megan) Easton; great-grandchildren Christian, Mattias and Jaeden. Also surviving are her sisters; Mary (Dick) Taffe, and Catherine Pedro, her brother Larry (JoElaine) Rohe, sister in-laws Marilyn Waluk, and Alice Hogan, many special nieces and nephews, and her dear and close friend Mardelle Vest. Bernadine enjoyed auctions, antiquing, playing cards with her friends in Conklin, NY, and traveling with family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time at Cape Hatteras. Happy times were spent with family and friends at Petonia Lake, a summer home in Greene NY.

A prayer and memorial service was held on October 29th, 2014, in Simpsonville, SC.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Court St., Binghamton, NY at 2PM on Friday November 7th.. Internment to follow at Vestal Hills Memorial Park, Vestal, N.Y.

Calling hours will be held on Friday November 7, 2014 from 12PM-1:30PM at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Binghamton. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to a charity of your choice.
