He was a graduate of Attuck’s high School and went on to earn a football scholarship to Florida A & M University. There he played a half back on the football team and graduated with a degree in Education. He began his career in education in Pinellas County Schools and retired from teaching middle school and high school after 35 years.
He also enjoyed coaching middle school and high school students in football, basketball and track. He was respectively referred to as “COACH” throughout his life.
Robert is survived by his wife, Brenda, of 45 years, 9 living children; Robin, Pannetta, Jonathan, Tara, Andrea, Romonda, Marrieo, Shawna and Janelle; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as many more relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on Monday, October 1st, at Fero Funeral Home 5955 North Lecanto Highway, Beverly Hills, Florida 34465. Viewing at 10:00 AM and service at 11:00 AM.
