Josephine E. Flowers, 95 of Beverly Hills, Florida died on Friday, June 24, 2011 in Crystal River, Florida. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on Wednesday, July 14, 1915 to Lawrence and Felicia (Pawlus) Tuchowski. Josephine was a retired store detective with Sears and moved to this area in 1974 from Detroit, Michigan. She was an active member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills, Florida, where she volunteered, ushered, was the Minister of Hospitality and the recipient of the Diocese of St. Petersburg St. Jude the Apostole Award. She also, enjoyed golfing.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Michael C. Gientke in 1985 and her second husband, Stanley F. Flowers in 1997 and in 1948 by her son, James M. Gientke.
Survivors include her son, Frederick J. Gientke and wife Betty of Bend, Oregon; grandchildren, Dana Zanhiser of Roseville, CA, Denise Zweig of Thousand Oaks, CA, Lee Gientke of Provo, Utah and Alexandria Gientke of Bend, Oregon and three great grandchildren.
Services will be private at Fero Memorial Gardens.
