Walter "John" Klein Jr, 68, of Lecanto, Florida, passed away on October 9, 2021 at the Hospice House in Lecanto, Fl. A native of Cooperstown, New York, but moved to Citrus County in 1987 from Jacksonville, Florida. He was a butcher at Winn Dixie as his profession. John , as he was known by many, was an avid music lover and never missed a Miami Dolphins game. Mr. Klein always treated everyone as family. He is survived by brothers Charlie Klein (wife Sylvia), Timothy Klein (wife Mary), daughter Sarah Klein, children Martin "Shane" Smith (wife Tracy), Melanie Vezina (husband Perry), granddaughters Abbey Shaw (husband Blake), and Nina Smith, and greatgrandson Jaxson Shaw. John was preceded in death by his wife Julie "Cookie" Klein.
