Joan A. Bold

Joan A. Bold, 89, of Beverly Hills, Florida, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014, at Life Care Center of Citrus County in Lecanto. A native of New York, New York, she was born November 6, 1925, the only child to Arthur and Maude (Lindsey) Meyer. Joan was a lifelong homemaker, but also held positions with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and the Dept. of Internal Revenue. Mrs. Bold moved here in 1987 and was a member of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, Inverness. She enjoyed swimming, volunteering with the Girl Scouts of America, as well as her membership with West Citrus Elks Lodge #2693, Homosassa.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Charles W. Bold of Beverly Hills; seven children, Susan Marie Ehmer (husband Steven), Pennsylvania, Evelyn Louise Zimmerman (husband John), Basyee, Virginia, Joan Bold, Swangboro, North Carolina, Ellen Lorraine Muller, Port Jefferson, New York, Barbara Chacon (husband Louis), New Port Richey, Charles W. Bold III (wife Natasha), Sound Beach, Long Island, New York and Richard A. Bold (wife Doreen), Raleigh, North Carolina; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at Fero Funeral Home, Beverly Hills, where a chapel service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 19, 2014 with Fr. Eugene Reuman officiating. Interment will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens. www.ferofuneralhome.com.
