Janet K. Odom

Mrs. Janet K. Odom, passed away at the age of 78.

Janet was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on July 7, 1943. She graduated from Largo Senior High School in 1961. She pursued a career in nursing and graduated from Kellogg Community College in 1963. Upon marriage (Norman Moodie) she lived in Michigan, Philippines, and Ohio. In 1979, she relocated back to Florida and began a banking career for the next 25 years before retiring in 2005.

She was a loving daughter, mom, grandma, sister, and aunt. She will be remembered for her kind heart and her willingness to help others in both her career and in life. Her smile and laughter brought joy to all that knew her. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Rolland and Virginia Berry; husband, Euel L. Odom; her daughter, Lisa K. Bowe; and sister, JoAnn M. Spear (Jim). She is survived by her son, Steve Moodie (Alana) of Pensacola, FL ; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister, Jacqueline (Douglas) Roach of Lexington, KY and all of her loving nieces and nephews.

Her celebration of life will be scheduled for January 2022 and held at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
