James A. Flick of Crystal River, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 in the loving care of his wife and son under the direction of Hospice of Citrus County. Jim was born in Worthington, Pennsylvania to James and Virginia (Bowser) Flick. He was a graduate of Worthington High School and Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He also, attended Slippery Rock State University.
Jim moved to Florida in 2000 after he retired as the owner and funeral director of The James A. Flick Funeral Home. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the 89th Attack Squadron of the United States Army Air Force.
Jim was an avid golfer, loved traveling and flying. He especially, enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Ruari and his dog Hershey.
Survivors include his wife, Linda (Long) Flick; son, James Walker Flick and wife Theresa; grandsons, Ruari Walker Flick and William John Rutterman and numerous cousins.
