Doris Scarborough Bilotti, 85 of Inverness, Florida died on Friday, May 25, 2012 in the loving care of her family and Hospice of Citrus County. Doris was born in Lambertville, New Jersey on Thursday, February 24, 1927 to Harry and Olive (Joiner) Scarborough. Doris was of the Methodist faith and participated in the Highland Civic Center Bingo and Ladies Club. Her hobbies included, playing at Lady Jo's, traveling and sewing. Her greatest love was caring for little children, whenever a parent/friend was in need of child care. Her greatest legacy will be her open-door policy and her genuine giving to others.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Olive Scarborough and her sister, Jean Altenberger.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Vincent Bilotti, close family and friends, Diane Ross of Inverness, Florida; Linda, Trey, Mallory and Melinda Abercrombie of Jacksonville, Florida. Leon, Melissa, Alexander and Arianna. Close friends, Brenda and Mike Fitzpatrick, Michael Thomas Fitzpatrick and family; friend of Doris, Peggy Leggett and Doris's sweet dog, Sadie. Doris was a loving sister to Harry Scarborough, Malcome Scarborough and Betty Kelly.
Graveside Service, Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Fero Memorial Gardens.
