Charles J. Bautz, 89, of Spring Hill, FL and formerly of Beverly Hills, FL, passed away on Tues., Aug. 26, 2014 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville. A native of Brooklyn, NY, he was born March 22, 1925 to Joseph and Ellen (Hanberry) Bautz, one of six children. Mr. Bautz moved to Spring Hill in 2013 from Beverly Hills, where he had lived since 1987. Charlie, as he was known to many, was a retired bank officer with Citibank and Citicorp (beginning as First National Bank), a career that spanned 33 years, in Manhattan. He was a parishioner of both Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Spring Hill. Mr. Bautz was also a member of Abbot Francis Sadlier Council 6168 Knight of Columbus (3rd Degree), Beverly Hills and a WWII U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Charlie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Annamae B. Bautz of Spring Hill; his six children: Kevin Bautz (wife Susan), Spring Hill; Edward Bautz (wife Toni), Carrolton, TX; Robert Bautz (wife Julie), Brooklyn, NY; Marianne Mastrapasqua (husband Thomas), Marlboro, NJ; Kathy Russo (husband John), Valley Stream, L.I., NY and Patricia Longo (husband Dennis), Mount Pleasant, SC; grandchildren Brooke, Timothy, Kristin, Lauren, Shawn, Angela, Nicholas and Lisa and great granddaughter Megan. Mr. Bautz was preceded in death by his five siblings; Irene, Eleanor, Mildred, Winifred and Thomas. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat., Aug. 30, 2014 at 11:15 A.M. from St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Spring Hill, with Fr. Patrick Rebel, Celebrant. Interment will be private.
