Albert B. Morelli, 85, of Citrus Hills, Inverness, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2011 at Hospice House in Lecanto, Florida, surrounded by his loving family. A native of The Bronx, New York, he was born August 21, 1926 to Raphaele and Mary (Siniscalchi) Morelli. Albert moved to Inverness, Florida in 2000 from Putnam Valley, New York and as a retired insurance broker, was the former owner and operator of Morelli Insurance Co., with offices in Queens and The Bronx in New York. Mr. Morelli was a WWII U.S. Army veteran serving from 1944 to 1946 and served in Germany. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Hernando, Florida, and is survived by his wife of 50 years, Heike Morelli of Inverness, Florida; sons Andre Morelli of Beverly Hills, Florida and Luke Morelli of Atlanta, Georgia and a sister, Julia Brigandi of Kings Park, New York, as well as many nieces and nephews. Albert was preceded in death by six siblings. A Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. from Fero Funeral Home, Beverly Hills, Florida with Rev. Kenneth C. Blyth of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens with military honors rendered by American Legion Post 155.
