Wilma J. Allen

Following a short illness, Wilma Jean Allen left her earthly home on August 16, 2016 in Oklahoma City. Wilma was born to Myrkle and Esta Jones on April 23, 1930, in Gotebo, Oklahoma. Upon graduation from Lake Valley Schools, she moved to Oklahoma City and worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield until she and Bennie Allen married on August 27, 1950. Wilma retired from First National Bank and Trust Company of Oklahoma City in 1983. Wilma Allen is predeceased by her parents, eight siblings, and one grandson. She is survived by her husband, Bennie Allen; two daughters, Jeanne and husband, John Prince of Oklahoma city, and Debra and husband, Larry Lasater of Tuttle; three grandsons, Bill Hornbaker, Boston; David and wife, Andrea Ball, Ninnekah; and Marcus and wife, Megan Ball, Dibble, OK; granddaughter, Brandi and husband, Dr. Matt Simpson, Fort Worth, TX; and eight great-grandchildren. Her extended family includes one sister, Myrtle Cockrell, Oklahoma City, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday, Aug 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Portland Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
