He graduated from Putnam City High School in 1964. After high school, he worked at Tinker Air Force Base for over 35 years. Upon his retirement from civil service, he worked as a contractor at Tinker.
From an early age, Terry was a kind and gentle soul and became more so in his senior years. He was a life-long car and motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed attending Coffee and Cars with his friends and never passed up the opportunity to start new friendships over cars and motorcycles. He was a 20 year member and former past president of the Central Oklahoma Miata Club. Terry was also a member of the BLHOT motorcycle club. Like his father, after retirement, Terry liked to buy, repair, and sell bicycles and lawnmowers. Those he couldn’t sell, he gave away. His greatest joys in life were being a loving husband to his wife, Ann, a beloved brother to Wayne, a devoted father to his daughters, Jill and Tara, and a doting grandfather to his grandchildren, Cassidy, Alexis, Harper, Jack, and Paige.
Terry was preceded in death by his father Evern “Ed” Willey, his Mother Delphine Willey, and his daughter, Jill Willey Stacy.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Willey, his brother Wayne Willey, his daughter Tara Lisa (Willey) McKinney, his son-in-law John McKinney, his son-in-law Blake Stacy, his grandchildren Cassidy McKinney, Alexis McKinney, Harper Stacy, Jack McKinney, and Paige McKinney, and by his dog Buddy.
The family will have visitation at Bill Merritt Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 15th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be a graveside service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Wednesday, September 16th at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society.
