Sara Ellen Rector-Rosa

Sara E. Rector-Rosa left her earthly home to join the Lord on Friday, July 19, 2024. Sara was born May 1, 1933 in Durango, Colorado to Albert and Olive Warren. She graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma and later was employed at the University Library.

Sara enjoyed a long and successful career in the oil industry. She served as Vice President for Bobo Exploration. She also worked as Land Manager for Shanley Oil Company. She retired in 1982.

In retirement, Sara spent many hours as a volunteer for the Ione YWCA and her church home, Church of the Servant, United Methodist.

Sara was preceded in death by Ira B. Rector, her husband of 30 years; her most recent husband, Lawrence Rosa; two sisters, Dena Lang and Darla Emmons; and brother, Wally Warren.

She is survived by Frank N. Wride, her only precious son; three grandchildren, Shaunna Kennedy (David), Christopher Wride and Jarred Wride; two great grandchildren, Parker and Cooper Kennedy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

May she rest in eternal Peace.

A celebration of life for Sara will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Elison Independent Living Statesman Club, 10401 Vineyard Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73120.
