Sammy married Lee Roy Beck on December 6, 1946, in Wayne, OK, and lived in Oklahoma City most of her life.
Sammy was an active member and ordained elder of Calvin Presbyterian Church and cooked for Mobile Meals. Her other interests were gardening and flower arranging. She was a signature member of the National Watercolor Oklahoma and the Southwestern Watercolor Society.
She is survived by daughters, Karen (Don) Wiper of Kent, OH; Teresa (Joe) Sochor, of Guthrie, OK; granddaughters, Jennifer (Wayne) Williams of Columbus, OH; Amanda (Kevin) Milner of Haverhill, MA; and Andrea Fink of Macedonia, OH; great grandchildren, Paige Ball and Tyler Hawkins of Columbus, OH; Grace and William Milner of Haverhill, MA; and Layla and Emily Fink of Macedonia, OH.
