Robert (Bob) Hardin Springer, 84, passed away on May 8. He was born February 13, 1929, in Booneville, Arkansas to Armold and Ruby Springer. Bob served two terms in the U.S. Marine Corps, one during the Korean War. Bob and Violet Quandt were married on December 14, 1974. He retired from TG&Y stores after 23 years. Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Vi; his children: son Andy and daughter-in-law Denise, son David and daughter-in-law Sonya, daughter Debbie Springer, and son Tom; siblings: sister Sherry and brother-in-law William Pierce, sister Carrol McGhee, brother John and sister-in law Barbara, and brother Russell, and sister-in-law Marsha. He will also be missed by his nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Dustin (Dusty), Sue Stewart, Rudy, June Lawson, Tom, Judy Puskarich, and brother-in-law Willis (Bill) McGee. Bob loved his family, old movies (especially old-fashioned Westerns), John Wayne, and a great meal. He will be remembered as a man who never said a bad word about anyone, had a charming sense of humor, and possessed the patience of Job. When you think of him, eat something you love. We think he would like that. Visitation will be May 13, 1-8 p.m., and May 14, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.; services will be held May 14 at 2 p.m. at Bill Merritt Funeral Services, 6201 NW 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK. Internment at Sunnylane Cemetery in Del City.
