Pauline Ruth Hixson Stivers

Pauline R. Stivers 98, passed away May 11, 2011 in OKC. She was born in Headrick, Oklahoma to parents Byron and Martha Hixson. She married Harold Dane Stivers. Pauline worked for many years for Grey Hound Bus lines and was a profound artist in her spare time. Throughout the years she has created many unique paintings. She is survived by her daughter Ansoleah “Ansy” Esser and husband Al, residing in Pahrump, Nevada her 5 grandchildren, Don Stivers and wife Penni, Michele Stivers, Janel Wade and husband David, Mike Thomie and wife Alicia, Ken Thomie and wife Patty, 14 great grandchildren, and 6 great- great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Stivers, and 8 siblings. A funeral service will be held 10AM, Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Resurrection Memorial Chapel 7500 W. Britton Rd., OKC, followed by a reception with the family at Bill Merritt Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday-Monday from 8AM-5PM at Bill Merritt Funeral Service.
