Nancy Lee (Duncan) Riddell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at the age of 89 following a brief two week illness. Nancy was born on July 7, 1931 in Oklahoma City to Hershell and Leona Duncan. She graduated from Old Classen High School in 1949. She married Harry Eugene Riddell on April 18, 1953 and made their home in Oklahoma City. She was active in her boys school activities and later became a docent at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum and served that role for 30+ years. She became active in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) in 1988 and was a leader for 27 years. In 1990, following the death of her husband she resumed Harry’s position and passion and joined the board of directors for Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanities and retained her position through this day.
She served God and her church family as a devoted member, deacon, elder and trustee of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was involved in the Stephen Ministry. She was a great listener, caring nature that was a friend to all and to her BSF, Habitat and Westminster family. She and Harry, had 3 sons, Randy, Scott and Dean. She cherished following her grandkids in their school and sporting activities and rarely missed a ball game or school event. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Eugene Riddell, sons Randy Riddell and Scott Riddell, and granddaughter Alyssa Nicole Riddell. She is survived by her son Dean Riddell and wife Julie and their 3 kids, Ashley VanWinkle (spouse Erik) Austin Riddell and Blake Riddell and two great granddaughters Arabella VanWinkle and Jade VanWinkle, grandson Cody Riddell and sons Grayson and Graham, granddaughter Kayte Rush and sons Christopher and Cameron. Funeral services will be held for the family at 2pm Wednesday, December 29, 2020 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, social distancing and masks required. Services will be livestreamed for all of Nancy’s Friends at www.wpcokc.com/live-streaming. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
