Oklahoma City - Nancy Levy Raskin ( Naomi bat Yankel v’ Sadie) born February 7, 1938 in Oklahoma City, passed away surrounded by her family at home after a long health struggle, and now is at peace with her departed loved ones.
Nan was a charming and loving person and adored by everyone she met. She was beautiful inside and out and loved beyond measure. She had a sharp wit, brilliant mind and a wonderful sense of humor. Her heart was huge with endless love for her family and friends.
Nan graduated Northwest Classen High School in 1956 she played clarinet in the band and was an accomplished pianist and talented artist.
Nan was a loving and devoted mother. In 1965 when tragedy struck Nan ran into an RV engulfed in flames to save her two children, suffering severe burns from which she later recovered.
Nan was afraid of water and was not a swimmer but that didn’t detour her from jumping into her pool to save her drowning dog Ally.
Later in life Nan worked with her family at Holderby Associates in Oklahoma City for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Jack Levy, her sister Betty and Bob Holderby, nephew Steve Holderby, and is survived by her devoted partner Don Morgan, her children Randy Raskin (wife Joan) and Jenna Raskin Moreines (husband Michael), grandchildren Remington, Madison, and Jonathan Raskin all residing in Phoenix, Arizona. Niece Mindy McClellan (partner Randy), grand nephew Brandon, grand niece Erin McCoy (husband Corey), great grand nieces Brenlyn, Braylee, and Brielle McCoy.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday June 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13313 N. Kelley Ave., Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers or gifts please donate to Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929
