Michael Angelo Reggio, 85, passed from the Mercy Hospice House in Oklahoma City into the
arms of Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 1st, 2010.
Michael was born April 11, 1925 in Chicago, IL to Salvator (John) Reggio & Angeline
(Monachino) Reggio. He had one sister, Marigrace Reggio. On October 22, 1950, he married
Edith Maxine Holdge in Phoenix, Arizona.
Surviving are three sons, one daughter and numerous grandchildren. His sons are Michael H. of
Newalla, OK; Joseph L. of Bethany, and David A. of Luther, OK and his daughter is Maria. B.
of Moore, OK. He had 13 grandchildren, all living in the Oklahoma City area and many great grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces and great-nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister and his wife of over 50 years.
Michael grew up in Chicago, Ill where he graduated from high school. Michael served in
the Army during World War II at the same time that his father served the war effort in the Navy.
He subsequently re-entered the military via the U.S. Air Force in January 1950 and served
during the Korean War. He served as an aircraft mechanic at numerous bases until he was
assigned to Williams Air Force Base in Arizona where he was married to Maxine and had his first child. He then served at Laredo Air Force Base, near Laredo, Texas from where he was
discharged in 1954 but not before he had his second child. He moved his family to Chicago, Ill.
In 1958 he left Chicago and moved to Caddo County, Oklahoma where he helped to build the
dam at Fort Cobb Lake. In 1962, the family moved to Bethany, OK where he spent the rest of his
life. He was joined by his family from Chicago who also spent their remaining years here. He
went to work as an Air Craft Mechanic for Aero Design which later became Aero Commander,
Rockwell, and finally Gulfstream. He retired after 25 years in their service.

until early Saturday (Sept 4) morning. Funeral services will be held at Bill Merritt Funeral
Service on Saturday, Sept. 4, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, 7801
NW Expressway following the services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 11212 N. May Ave STE 405, Oklahoma City, OK 73120-6335.
