Margaret Jean (Beasley) Arnold was born to Tom and Hazel Cook Beasley March 2, 1934, the youngest of four children in Oklahoma City. She graduated from Classen High School in 1952. She married Frank Arnold in 1953 and to this union were born Jeri Lynn, Nancy Kathleen and Thomas Frank. After several moves with the military Margaret returned to Oklahoma City with her 3 children.
Her family meant everything to her – sometimes she had to be “mother” to her grandchildren while she was also helping her own children reach their career goals. At times she would be strict but always tried to keep a kind heart. She had high standards and work ethics. She worked at Citizens National Bank and then MidFirst Bank until she retired in 1999.
Margaret developed a love of traveling at a young age with her parents and told stories about going with them to Cuba. She traveled in later years visiting London on several occasions, Israel more than once, Alaska and made her final trip going to Italy in 2016.
She was a woman of faith and was a long-time member of Oklahoma City First Free Methodist Church and she loved her church family. She was not afraid to die because she knew where she was going . . . heaven bound to be with her parents, brother and sisters and prayed that all her earthly family will be joining her.
She enjoyed crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles, solving Sudoku, and watching TV especially Ninja Warrior and OU football. She wanted to be a “good cook” – she tried!
Margaret passed from this life on January 2, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Robert (Bobby) Beasely and sisters LaVerne Craig and Dorothy Godwin.
