Lester Wayne Adams

Lester Wayne Adams passed away January 3, 2011. He was born February 19, 1922 in Belcherville, Texas to Jess Montgomery Adams and Nancy Frances Hanna Adams. He is preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, one sister and two spouses. Lester is survived by two sisters, Eva and Joyce and his children. During Lester’s long residence in Oklahoma City, he was father to Judie Anglin, Monty Adams, Eddie Adams, Shelia Holmes and Richard Cox. His grandchildren include: Erika Ledford, Rose Adams(deceased), Sarah Jones, Brandi Stevenson ,Joel Adams, Mark Adams ,Mary Ann Cox, Suzanne Akins, Jonathan Adams, Melissa Holmes, Russell Holmes, Rebecca Villarreal, Cortnie Hendrix, Nathan Adams and Michael Adams. He has more than20 great grandchildren. Lester proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Lester was a hard working man who worked well with his hands until he retired. He was a Christian man who served in his church as a Sunday school teacher and bus driver. One thing that all remember about this grandfather was his charm and his gentleness. Grandpa Adams will be missed by all.
