Kathryn Lee Jorski passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of Tuesday, April 9th—early reports indicate she was wearing as many as three different animal prints at the time of her passing. If you asked her, she would say she lives on through her “6, or was it 7? no definitely 6 children” and her Catholic horde of 14 grand/great-grandchildren. Anyone who knows Katie will remember her opening her home to both family and friends on holidays, playing a questionably good hand of cards, watching late night infomercials, and sparring with minimum wage food service/retail employees for sport. She survived her husband Jimmy Jorski for “far too many years,” and I know they are likely enjoying a nice drive together in his ’57 Cadillac before going home to watch several episodes of Judge Judy before bed. Jorski (née) Strikeaxe was a member of the Osage Nation—instilling her proud tribal heritage in her many descendants. Wah-zha-zhe! While bad at training dogs, Kathryn excelled at meeting strangers, enjoying the Colorado mountains from a quiet back porch, and telling you exactly what was on her mind. The world will be slightly dimmer without her deep-belly laugh and over sweetened ice tea. I will think of you often—until we meet again...
A celebration of life for Kathryn will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 5:00 PM at Castle Falls Event Center, 820 N MacArthur Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127.
