Jo Ann Woodside, 90, passed away peacefully to be with our Lord, on Thursday, June 29, 2023. Jo was born on June 4, 1933, in Hartsburg, MO and was the third great-granddaughter of John Colter the esteemed discoverer of Yellowstone National Park. Jo’s unwavering devotion to her family and her strong faith have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her daughters Diane (Lee) Gordon, Linda (Tom) Tucker and her son David (DeLynn) Woodside. Also, surviving are her 8 grandchildren Tom (Brittaney) Tucker II, Laura (Matthew) Ramsey, Joseph Tucker, Lisa Gordon, Erica (Mitchel) Gray, Michael (Rebecca) Woodside, Beth (Alex) Cornelius, and Christina Woodside; along with 16 great-grandchildren and one foster granddaughter Rita Hamby. Along with four nieces Pam Godi and Patti Sutton of St. Louis, Missouri and Cheryl and Verna Lupardus of California and one nephew Dale Lupardus of California.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Woodside, parents Nancy and Vernon Lupardus, brother Eugene Lupardus, and sister Norma Smith.
Services will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Bill Merritt Funeral Services, in Bethany, OK.
Concluding with a Celebration of Life reception.
There will be a private family inurnment for Jo Ann and her husband Robert at their niche in Our Lady of Sorrows Mausoleum at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery prior to the funeral service.
