Janet Marie Brewer

Janet Marie Brewer passed away March 9, 2024 in Oklahoma City at the age of 77. Janet was born March 2, 1947 in Blackwell, OK to Earl Brown and Florence Louise Griffith Friend. She spent her early years in Newkirk, OK, grew up at the Baptist Children’s Home then later moved to Bethany where she still lives today. Janet met Gerald Brewer in Bethany and they married on June 10, 1967. Janet liked breakfast in bed, riding around the lake and sharing a motorcycle ride with her husband. She also enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel, the Price is Right and The Voice. Janet was a loving and kind person and was able to use those gifts in her profession as a CNA. Janet was a member of Putman City Baptist church and sang in the choir at Council Road Baptist Church. Janet was also a member of the C. B. Radio Club, where she won the Big Mouth Trophy, her handle was “Barefoot”. Janet loved her family and they loved her. She is survived by Gerald, her husband of 56 years, 2 daughters, Deborah Ann Harner and husband, Lenny and Tracy Jean De Marco and husband, Mike. 3 grandchildren, Michael Anthony DeMarco, Victory Christian Moreno and husband, Anthony Ryan and Trinity Alexander Harner, 1 great grandson, Micah Moreno, 4 nieces, 4 nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters, Florence Esther Lance, Mary Kelley and Martha Hall. The family wishes to thank Sarah, Bo and the staff at Concordia Rehab, the staff at The Lake’s and Suncrest Hospice for their loving care.

A visitation for Janet will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bill Merritt Funeral Service, 6201 Northwest 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK 73008.

The celebration of life will be Friday, March 15, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Bill Merritt Memorial Chapel followed by burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
