James Louis Farrow, born April 17, 1927, passed away January 27, 2012 after a long illness. Born in Foreman, AR, Jim was a lifelong country boy at heart and always had a joke and a smile. He was also an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. A Korean war veteran, Jim served as a navy medic. A respected Pharmacist in the community for 50 years, Jim was awarded his 50 year gold service pin by the Pharmacological Society in the 1990’s.
Preceded in death by his wife Patricia, brothers Chester, Ralph, and Roy, sister Peggy Stanfield and son James Paul.
He is survived by sisters Mandie Corter and family, Jackie Jefferies and family, Juana Gray and family, sister-in-law Judy Farrow and family and best friend and brother-in-law Bob Koger and family. Children Stanley Frank, Theressa Sue, Lisa Gauger and family, Andrea and Ron Jaye and Melinda and Scott Wehba. Grandchildren Emily Wehba, Kari and Chris Grove and great grandson Jacob Wehba. Also many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday, 2/02/12 at 2pm at Bill Merritt Funeral Home Chapel, 6201 NW 39th St, OKC, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, OKC. The family would like to thank Warr Acres Nursing Center for their care and Carolyn McPherson with Wesley United Methodist Church as well as Crossroads Hospice.
