Gladys Terry

Gladys Terry was born to Willie and Ora Lick on 26 August 1923, in Alikchi, Oklahoma. She passed from this life 11 March 2015, at the age of 91. Gladys grew up in the Broken Bow area and moved to Oklahoma City after high school. She later met and married Ernest L. Terry on 15 Dec 1945. They raised four children-- Paul Terry, Linda Tunnell, Sandra Mankiller and Larry Terry. After 35 years in aircraft production she retired from Gulf Stream.

Gladys loved her family fiercely. There were no limits to what she would do to support her children and grandchildren. You were always welcome at Grandma's, and could count on a big hug, a hot meal and her pride in all you did. She thoroughly enjoyed holiday dinners, summers in Pitkin, CO and coffee and a sweet pastry with her coffee and newspaper.

She is preceded in death by her husband, E.L. Terry. She is survived by her children, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, 2 brothers, a sister and many other family and friends. A viewing will be held Sunday, 3/15, 12-8, and a celebration of her life will be Monday, 3/16, at 2pm, at Bill Merritt Funeral Home in Bethany, OK.
