Etta Sue Ramage

Etta Sue Ramage, 75, of Oklahoma City, passed away December 30, 2014. She was born January 16, 1939 to parents Robert Shaw and Ada Wells. During her life, Etta worked for Deaconess Hospital as an Instrument Technician for thirty years. She was also a member of Meridian Baptist Church for sixty-two years, singing in the choir, which she loved, and teaching Sunday School for the preschool-aged children. Etta loved to cook – she went to Falls Creek Baptist Assembly and cooked at the camp for the many thousands of children that attended each year. When she wasn’t at church or at work, she preferred to be in the comfort of her home with her dog, Jitter. Etta was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ada Shaw; and sons, Jerry Don Gatlin and Donney Lee Barham. She is survived by daughters, Norma Richardson and Teresa Logan, both of Oklahoma City; sister, Deloris (Ernest) Wakeman, of McLoud; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 4, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Bill Merritt Funeral Service, 6201 NW 39th Expressway, Bethany, OK. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, at River of Life Church (formerly Meridian Avenue Baptist Church), 1421 N. Meridian, Oklahoma City, OK.
