Carolyn Sue Penland

Carolyn was the most perfect wife, mother and Memaw and was excited for the arrival of her first great grandson Cooper.

Her family was the most important thing in her life and she was the happiest surrounded by her brood.

Carolyn enjoyed fishing and gardening and trying real hard to grow that perfect tomato.

She had a wit and infectious, quirky and sometimes crazy sense of humor and there is no doubt that she has left a lasting mark with anyone blessed to have known her.

Carolyn was preceded in the death by her husband Gary Penland of 39 years and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter Sherri and Nick Hernandez of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter Windi and Phillip Parsons of Tuttle, Ok; son Jeremey Penland , Andrea Pope and Maddie Weig of Yukon, Ok. 5 grandchildren; Rylee and Denton Sanchez, Kilian Parsons, Alexander and Ansley Penland and 1 great grandchild Cooper Kyles; brother, Glenn and Donna Bowen of Lone Grove, OK; brother-in-law Gill and Peggy Penland of Yukon, OK; sister-in-law Teresa and Steven Hartline of Oklahoma City, OK and a host of other precious relatives and great friends.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday March 5th, 2022 at The Cove Event Space

3901 N College Bethany, Ok from 3pm to 5pm.

If you would like to send flowers or plants or cards you may send them to her residence or to Sherri or Windi and we will make sure and bring them to the Celebration.

Mom would have also loved it if you would plant a tree or flowers or give to the charity of your choice.
