Billie Hendrix

Billie Jo Hendrix went home to Heaven on Jan. 27, 2016 at 1:30 am after a 3-year battle with myeloma. Billie is survived by her mother, Dorothy Yarbrough, sisters Barbara Warner and her husband Mike and JoElla Hannaman and her husband Robert; brother Lee Wayne Yarbrough and wife Kathy; daughter Shelly Biggers, her husband Mike and their daughters Lauren and Caitlyn; daughter Angie Rodriquez, her husband Jose, daughter Ashleigh and her husband Geoff, and sons Cayden and Evan; and son Scott Hendrix, his wife Laura and their children Gracie and Brady, and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Elbert, her father Joe Boese and her brother Lynn Yarbrough. Billie was the heart of her family. She stayed home to raise her three children and took care of many other children over the years in addition to her seven grandchildren who called her Amma. She was a faithful Christian whose smile will now shine down from Heaven. A viewing will be held at Bill Merritt Funeral Home in Bethany on Friday from 3 to 8 pm with family receiving between 6 and 8 pm. The funeral will be Saturday at 10 am at Spring Creek Baptist Church.
