Betty Jane Utterback passed away at her home in Prague Oklahoma on July 4, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. Betty was 79 years young, born June 23, 1945, in Clayton, IL to Fredrick and Alta Graff. Betty spent most of her life in central Illinois where she learned to farm and raise children. She was a volunteer EMS ambulance driver in Pittsfield, Illinois for 10 years and worked at several businesses including, Tate Cheese, Davis & Cleaver, Motorola and spent time as an in-home caretaker, but her most important job was being a loving wife and mother. Betty moved to Prague around 2010 to be closer to family. She loved playing cards and was known for her quick wit and being hard to beat. If you ever heard her, say the word “Pichinging” watch out, she was headed to her favorite casino.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Terry and Melvin. She leaves behind a large and loving family, Harold, her husband of 58 years, 5 children, Kenneth Utterback and wife, Paula, Sandra Clonts, Mark Utterback and wife, Cindi, Tom Utterback and wife, Crystal and Stephen Utterback, 2 brothers, Roger Graff and wife, Barb and Dennis Graff and wife, Karen as well as 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren 2 great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
