Alfred L. Epperson entered into rest on September 5, 2017 at the age of 90. He was born May 19, 1927 in Oklahoma City, OK to Arlie Lee and Mary Maude Childers Epperson. Alfred was an Army veteran and a mail carrier in the Capitol Hill area for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Naomi Epperson, 2 sons, David Wayne Epperson and Alan Lee Epperson and siblings Dovie Wilson, Shirley Searcy, JoAnn Baldwin, Harold Epperson and Johnnie Epperson. Alfred is survived by two daughters, Maria Bradway and D. E. Lisa Epperson, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, as well as four sisters, Martha Huffman, Betty Wilson and her husband, Albert, Ruthie Nolan and Mary Flynn, his brother, Richard Epperson and his wife, Mary and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M., Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Bill Merritt Memorial Chapel with burial following in the Frisco Cemetery in Yukon.
